Our Challenge
S&G Air Conditioning Contracts Ltd were employed by Paramount to carry out the design and installation of new air conditioning and mechanical ventilation services to serve the ground, first and second floors of this unique building.
Each floor was fitted out to Cat A standard before being amended to Cat B. Our client, Paramount, was the eventual tenant for the ground floor level.
Our Solution
3 no. new Samsung VRF systems were installed with each floor being served by a single system. Each system consists of 360 circular type cassette fan coil units, standard cassette and wall mounted units serving all open plan offices and cellular rooms. Heat recovery VRF systems were installed so that each room had independent temperature control.
At second floor level, a dedicated standalone air conditioning system was installed to serve the tenants comms room.
At ground floor level, two no. new Samsung ceiling void type heat recovery mechanical ventilation units were installed together with supply and extract distribution ductwork, swirl diffusers, louvres and attenuators as required.
A dedicated toilet extract ventilation system was provided to serve the WC facilities at all floor levels together with the basement shower and drying rooms.
Additionally, separate dedicated tea point extract ventilation systems were installed at each floor level.
A central controller was installed to control all of the AC and ventilation systems.
The air conditioning and ventilation systems were commissioned and balanced upon completion.
